New cultural centers are being built in the villages of Koptogai, Birlik, and Azgyr in the Kurmangazy District; Karabau, Miyaly, Zhangeldin, and Mukyr in the Kyzylkoga District; Zhana Karaton, Akkiiztogai, and Koshagyl in the Zhylyoi District; and in the village of Naryn in the Isatay District, according to the Regional Communications Service.

In recent years, the region has placed particular emphasis on developing the cultural sector. Since 2023, 14 new cultural facilities have been commissioned, and 54 institutions have undergone major and ongoing renovations.

Major projects in the region include the construction of a 1,200-seat concert hall and a new museum in Atyrau. Additionally, the former Wedding Palace will be reconstructed and handed over to the Dina Nurpeisova Academic Kazakh Folk Instrument Orchestra. Currently, there are 242 cultural facilities operating in the region, employing more than 3,000 specialists.
