In Astana, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Ansagan Baltabekov, met with National Guard officers who had successfully completed their studies at the National Defense University.

This year, 24 officers of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs graduated from the country’s leading military educational institution. Among them were 19 officers who completed master's degree programs at the operational-tactical level of command, two graduates of the General Staff Academy faculty, and three officers who successfully defended doctoral dissertations.

During the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief congratulated the officers on their successful graduation and emphasized that their professional training would provide a new impetus to the development of the command and control system and further strengthen the capabilities of the law enforcement troops.

"You will now be required to effectively apply the knowledge and experience gained during your studies in your service. I am confident that you will make a worthy contribution to strengthening military discipline, enhancing combat readiness, and ensuring the high-quality execution of service and combat tasks," the Commander-in-Chief noted.

Officer training at the National Defense University is aimed at developing leadership competencies, strategic thinking, and preparing military leaders capable of making effective decisions in the face of modern challenges and threats.

Today, the National Defense University is rightly regarded as one of the country’s largest interagency educational and research centers. Thousands of its graduates hold responsible positions within Kazakhstan’s security and law enforcement agencies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the National Guard officers noted that they would continue their service in military units and formations, applying their newly acquired knowledge and experience to ensuring public safety, strengthening law and order, and protecting the interests of the state.

It should be noted that enhancing the professional potential of officers possessing a high level of military and academic education remains one of the National Guard’s key development priorities.
