Astana, June 8, 2026 – The capital city Astana hosted the opening of the III International Congress of Archivists “Digital Archive EXPO” (DA-EXPO), organized on the initiative of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Kazakhstan Agency for International Development (KazAID) is an official co-organizer of this important forum, which has brought together over 500 experts, scientists, and IT industry representatives from around the world.

The central theme of the congress is the integration of cross-cutting technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) into archival science. Participants are discussing process automation, the creation of innovative archival ecosystems, and the long-term preservation of digital datasets. An interactive exhibition of cutting-edge IT solutions for the archival industry is also featured at the forum.

KazAID actively supports such scientific, practical, and technological platforms. The agency's role in organizing the congress marks an important step towards further strengthening cooperation, expanding institutional ties between partner nations, and ensuring the effective exchange of advanced expertise in information management and the preservation of shared historical and cultural heritage.
