Astana, June 10, 2026 – The office of the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development "KazAID" hosted a working meeting between the Acting Chairman of the Board of the Agency, J. Asanov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ali Akbar Jowkar.

The Ambassador of Iran expressed sincere gratitude for the recent Kazakhstan’s humanitarian aid delivered to the Iranian side on May 16 of this year.

Asanov, while informing that the recent humanitarian mission was carried out as per the decision of the President of the country, K. Tokayev, noted the traditionally intimate, centuries-old Kazakhstani-Iranian relations.

During the conversation, the dignitaries touched upon potential areas of cooperation, focusing on water resource management and enhancing the scientific and technical potential necessary for economic development and well-being.

At the conclusion of the meeting the parties expressed mutual interest in maintaining a regular working relationship.
