Information security in government revenue agencies refers to a set of measures designed to ensure the security of taxpayers’ personal data, financial information, and government information systems.
Main objectives:
* maintaining data confidentiality;
* preventing the leakage, alteration, or destruction of information;
* protecting against cyberattacks and viruses;
* ensuring the secure operation of electronic services.
Key information security measures:
- Protection of passwords and electronic digital signatures (EDS)
It is prohibited to disclose EDS and passwords to unauthorized persons.
- Restricting access to information
Employees have access only to the data necessary for their work.
- Use of antivirus and security systems
To prevent hacking and virus infections.
- Data backup
Storing copies of important information to prevent data loss.
- Compliance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Information protection is regulated by laws on personal data and information security.
