Information security in government revenue agencies refers to a set of measures designed to ensure the security of taxpayers’ personal data, financial information, and government information systems.

Main objectives:

* preventing the leakage, alteration, or destruction of information;

* protecting against cyberattacks and viruses;

* ensuring the secure operation of electronic services.

Key information security measures:

1. Protection of passwords and electronic digital signatures (EDS)

It is prohibited to disclose EDS and passwords to unauthorized persons.

2. Restricting access to information

Employees have access only to the data necessary for their work.

3. Use of antivirus and security systems

To prevent hacking and virus infections.

4. Data backup

Storing copies of important information to prevent data loss.

5. Compliance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Information protection is regulated by laws on personal data and information security.
