Business and Taxes: Mobile Transfers and Taxation of Foreign-Sourced Income Discussed in Ust-Kamenogorsk

On June 9, 2026, another live session of the “Business and Taxes” project was held at the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of East Kazakhstan Region, jointly organized with the State Revenue Department of East Kazakhstan Region.
The meeting focused on issues related to mobile money transfers as well as the taxation of income earned by individuals outside the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the event, Gulmira Sabralimova, Head of the Public Awareness and Contact Center Department, explained the current provisions of tax legislation, the procedures for declaring income received from foreign sources, and the specifics of monitoring mobile transfers. Participants received answers to topical questions regarding the fulfillment of tax obligations and the practical application of tax regulations.
Special attention was paid to improving tax literacy among citizens and entrepreneurs, as well as preventing violations of tax legislation.
The meeting was held in an open dialogue format and was broadcast live on Facebook, enabling a wide range of interested citizens and business representatives to participate in the discussion.
The organizers emphasized the importance of such events in ensuring timely awareness of legislative changes among taxpayers and fostering a culture of voluntary tax compliance.
