President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the high level of Kazakhstan-U.S. cooperation and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to further strengthening its Enhanced Strategic Partnership with the United States of America.
- We highly value this opportunity to discuss a broad agenda of cooperation and particularly welcome your participation in the C5+1 Critical Minerals Dialogue. This underscores the strategic importance that the United States attaches to cooperation with Kazakhstan and the wider Central Asian region. I would also like to acknowledge your personal contribution to the development of our bilateral relations. Kazakhstan remains firmly committed to further deepening its Enhanced Strategic Partnership with the United States. I would also ask you to convey my best wishes and sincere regards to President Donald Trump. I look forward to meeting with him later this year and would like to express my appreciation for the invitation to attend the G20 Summit in Miami, - the Head of State said. - I can assure you that you have a friend in the White House. President Trump highly values your leadership and accomplishments. We are committed to finding mutually beneficial solutions that serve the interests of our countries. The growing momentum of engagement between the United States and the countries of the region is a clear testament to this. In the past year alone, agreements have been reached and deals concluded worth more than $20 billion, and I am confident that this is only the beginning. We are also pleased that you will be participating in the G20 Summit later this year, - the Special Envoy said.
The parties discussed practical aspects of implementing joint trade, economic, and investment projects, as well as prospects for cooperation in priority areas, including critical minerals, transport and logistics, digitalization, and other sectors.
Special attention was paid to the activities of the Board of Peace, of which Kazakhstan is a co-founder. President Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness to contribute to international peace and stability and to support humanitarian initiatives.
The parties also exchanged views on current regional and international agenda.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening the comperehensive cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States.
