Since the beginning of the year, the campaign "People's Accountant" has been launched in the Department of State Revenue in Aktau. Several hundred citizens have already been able to ask their questions and receive qualified answers under the new Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event, launched by the Ministry of Finance, is taking place across the country and provides free advisory support for individual entrepreneurs and small businesses. This was announced by Andrey Smirnov, Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Affairs for Aktau city. The management's customer service center is separately advised by specialists, and in addition to experienced tax specialists, there is a representative of the Alliance of Professional Accountants. They provide clear and practical explanations on accounting, tax reporting, and working in information systems. During the meeting, experts from the state revenue authorities explain the provisions of the new Tax Code, the procedure for submitting tax reports, transitional rules for special tax regimes, issues of setting and de-registering VAT, as well as the specifics of working in information systems. Participants receive detailed answers to the most relevant and frequently asked questions. The schedule of face-to-face consultations is Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 13:00. The promotion will last until the end of June this year. According to A.Smirnov, as of today, 37182 taxpayers have been registered in the regional center of the Mangystau region, of which 1643 entrepreneurs pay taxes in the generally established regime, 35529 in the simplified tax regime. The "People's Accountant" campaign promotes the development of a service approach in the work of state revenue authorities, improving tax literacy of the population and preventing violations of tax legislation.
