First-year cadet Yeraly Zhazit of the Academy of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a representative of a military dynasty for whom service to the Motherland has become a family tradition. He is currently studying Command and Tactical Communications at the country’s leading military educational institution in Petropavlovsk.
The history of the military dynasty began with his great-grandfather, Zhumabek Mynalimov, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. For his courage and heroism on the battlefield, he was awarded the Order of Glory, 2nd and 3rd Class. During combat operations in Belarus, he distinguished himself in the destruction of enemy forces and the capture of strategically important military positions.
The military profession was continued by subsequent generations of the family. The cadet’s grandfather, Zhazit Mynalimov, completed his compulsory military service in the Soviet Army. His father, Askar Mynalimov, served for many years in the internal affairs bodies and the National Guard. He worked in criminal investigation and organized crime units before continuing his career within the law enforcement troops. For his exemplary service, he received a number of departmental awards.
Today, Yeraly Zhazit proudly carries on the family’s traditions. During his studies, he has established himself as a disciplined, motivated, and active cadet. The future officer aims to graduate from the Academy with honors and receive his first officer rank of Senior Lieutenant from the Head of State. He is already making every effort to achieve this goal.
Thus, the Mynalimov family’s tradition of serving the Motherland continues into its fourth generation. A military legacy that began with a Great Patriotic War veteran is now being carried forward by a future officer of the National Guard.
It is worth noting that 142 cadets are graduating from the Academy of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan this year. Sixteen graduates who complete their studies with distinction will receive honors diplomas and, for the first time in the Academy’s history, will be awarded the military rank of Senior Lieutenant immediately upon graduation.
