A meeting chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlybek Nalibayev was held to discuss the quality of construction of residential and social infrastructure projects. Regional Akim Murat Ergeshbayev participated in the meeting via videoconference.
The head of state set the goal of improving construction quality, ensuring the safety of projects, and efficiently using budget funds.
The meeting addressed issues of strengthening construction oversight, increasing the responsibility of technical and architectural supervision institutions, and promptly addressing identified deficiencies.
The First Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the unacceptability of formalism in defect resolution.
Construction quality must be ensured at all stages: from the design stage, through construction and installation work, commissioning, technical and architectural supervision, and until warranty obligations are fully fulfilled.
It is necessary to strengthen oversight over the construction of residential buildings, social facilities, utility infrastructure, roads, landscaping projects, courtyards, outdoor lighting systems, and railway and bus stations. Defects must be remedied at the contractor's expense, within the framework of warranty obligations, without spending budget funds.
The meeting discussed measures to strengthen oversight and increase the accountability of clients, contractors, and technical and design supervision.
Over the past three years, funding for the construction industry in the region has grown steadily, reaching 349.9 billion tenge between 2023 and 2025.
The architectural appearance and interior design of construction projects have been pre-approved, and a harmonious balance between exterior and interior finishing work has been ensured.
All projects are under constant monitoring to ensure high-quality work is completed within the established timeframe.
