Today, as part of a working visit to the Karmakshy District by Murat Ergeshbayev, the regional akim, and Murat Tleumbetov, the chairman of the regional maslikhat, a meeting of district officials was held at the Spirituality Center in the village of Zhosaly. The meeting focused on the region's socioeconomic development and upcoming challenges.
The regional Akim addressed a number of pressing issues and gave specific instructions on increasing the tax base, negotiating with foreign investors, implementing water-saving technologies, strengthening construction quality control, and increasing gasification.
"The district's key macroeconomic indicators for January-May showed positive trends. Increasing the tax base is particularly important for ensuring financial stability. The akims of villages and rural districts must systematically work in this direction. New investment projects must be implemented, effectively leveraging internal capabilities and economic potential.
Since 2023, the area under rice cultivation has decreased by 1,158 hectares. There are 33 utility canals in the district, nine of which require design and estimate documentation. I instruct you to prioritize low-water crops. Develop projects and collaborate with the Baikonur Social and Entrepreneurial Corporation",- said the regional akim.
Over the past four years, 267 apartments have been delivered in the Karmakshy district. Housing construction will continue this year. Responsible officials must strengthen oversight of construction quality.
In Karmakshy, gas service coverage is 79.2%, and natural gas connections are currently underway to the villages of Irkol and Torebai bi. The regional governor instructed the regional department of energy and housing and utilities to gradually supply gas to other villages.
Nine projects worth 98.7 billion tenge are being implemented in the region with funding from Zhasyl Damu JSC. A project by the Green Orda Project partnership is planned for the Karmakshy district. Further work is needed to intensify and submit documents for the second stage of review. In addition, responsible officials were instructed to strengthen public order and constantly monitor the epidemiological situation regarding Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever.
At the meeting, residents and village elders raised pressing issues and made their proposals.
During the visit, the regional governor met with the region's best students and visited an exhibition of new projects implemented using modern technologies and handicrafts created jointly with their teachers.
