The ceremonial event titled “Karatobe Region – Chronicle of the Past, Voice of the Present”, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the newspaper “Karatobe Region”, continued at the Shoptikol Cultural and Sports Complex.

First, the guests visited the exhibition “Tarihtan Syr Shertedi” (“History Tells Its Story”), organized by the district centralized library system. The exhibition featured various issues of the newspaper from different years, works of editors who had served in the newsroom, as well as photographs.

At the meeting, District Akim Kadirzhan Suyeugaliev delivered a speech, emphasizing the special place of the publication in the region’s history, noting that it has become a chronicle of district life. He also expressed gratitude to those who closely cooperate with the newspaper and contribute to informing readers about the life of the district.

During the event, Letters of Appreciation from the District Akim were awarded to Rysty Kakimkyzy, Tilekkabyl Sagynuly, and Gabdrakhman Muratkaliuly.

Afterwards, the editor of the “Karatobe Region” newspaper, Bekzhan Koishekenov, took the floor. He spoke about the 90-year history of the publication and thanked all readers and colleagues who support the newspaper’s team.

The results of the “Karatobe Region – Together with the People” competition for the best article, organized as part of the anniversary, were also announced. Zhuldyz Esenamanova received a 3rd degree diploma, Marina Iskakova a 2nd degree diploma, and Aydin Aksultanova a 1st degree diploma. The winners were awarded diplomas along with cash prizes.

In addition, Letters of Appreciation were presented to several organizations and individuals who are regular readers of the newspaper and actively cooperate with the editorial office. Among them are the administration of the Zhusandyoy rural district, the district library staff, and the B. Karataev Secondary School named after Saralzhyn.

Congratulatory speeches were delivered by Nurlibek Rakhmanov, Deputy General Director of “Zhaiyk Press” LLP, Baurzhan Shirmedenuly, editor of the “Syrym Eli” newspaper, and Dariya Nurashova, editor of the “Borli Zharshysy” newspaper. They highlighted the important role of the district newspaper in the socio-political and spiritual life of the region.

Nurlibek Nurlanuly also presented awards to the newspaper staff on behalf of the General Director of “Zhaiyk Press” LLP.

The celebration concluded with a concert program that created a joyful atmosphere for the audience. During the event, the song “Tol Gazetem – Makhtanym” (“My Native Newspaper – My Pride”), written by poet Yertay Bimukhanov and composed by Tanat Zheksembayev, was premiered.
