Employees of the medium security facility of the Department of the Penal Correction System in the Abai region stopped an attempt to bring a prohibited object into the facility.

            During the inspection of the transmissions using an X-ray machine, the security department staff found a double bottom in the cookie box, inside which a cell phone was hidden.

             During the conversation, a 42-year-old resident of Semey explained that he had arrived on a short-term date with his friend and, at his request, tried to smuggle a mobile device, hiding it in a cookie box.

           Currently, an administrative protocol has been drawn up against the citizen in accordance with Article 481 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

           -The staff of the institution on an ongoing basis conduct a thorough inspection of all broadcasts and visitors using technical controls. Such attempts to smuggle prohibited items are promptly detected and suppressed. We remind citizens that the transfer of prohibited items to institutions of the penal system entails responsibility in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan," said Ergas Yergaliev, head of the security Department.
