The implementation of a set of measures for organizing summer holidays, recreation and employment of children continues in Kostanay region. This year, it is planned to cover about 103 thousand children with various forms of summer recreation and recreation, which is 98.5% of the total number of schoolchildren in the region.

About 457 million tenge is provided for these purposes, which is 145 million tenge more than last year (312.6 million tenge).

During the summer period, there are 12 suburban and 617 school camps in the region with a total coverage of more than 102 thousand children, or 91% of students in grades 1-10. Of the out-of-school camps, 337 provide meals for 57,281 children, while another 280 camps without meals cover 34,531 schoolchildren.

Currently, there are 12 country camps in the region, where 2,313 children rest. Among them are the camps "Solnechny" (Denisovsky district), "Baldauren" (Auliekolsky district), "Bolashak" (Altynsarinsky district), "Stroitel" (Arkalyk), "Chaika", "Eaglet", "Svetofor" (Altynsarinsky district), "Lesnaya skazka" (Mendykarinsky district), General Bakirov camp (Altynsarinsky district), "Scarlet Sail" (Lisakovsk), "Altyngul" (Kostanay district).

Special attention is paid to children in need of government support. As a matter of priority, recreation and rehabilitation of orphans, children from low-income families, as well as gifted children are organized at the expense of the local budget. About 300 million tenge is provided for these purposes, which is 75 million tenge more than last year's level (2025 — 225 million tenge).

2,634 children in the amount of 175 million tenge have been provided with rehabilitation through the Universal Education Fund. Shifts for 425 students from boarding schools have been organized in three country camps.

The socially significant Hachiko project, aimed at improving the health of children with special educational needs at the rehabilitation center, continues to be implemented. This year, 379 children will participate in the project, 62.5 million tenge is provided for the implementation. The project has been implemented since 2022 and has already confirmed its relevance and effectiveness: over the past four years, 859 children have undergone rehabilitation in the amount of 129.6 million tenge.

In addition to recreation and recreation, it is planned to cover more than 105,000 children and adolescents with various forms of employment.

Within the framework of the state social order, the IT camp "SUMMER IT BOOTCAMP" in the Karasu district, as well as the project "Development of school tourism and the study of the historical and cultural heritage of the small motherland" in the Dzhangelda district and the district of Beimbet Mailin are being implemented.

Along with the traditional formats, new educational and applied projects for the development of children and adolescents are being implemented this year. The project "Konakzhai Otbasy" was launched in Kostanay and Amangeldy districts, aimed at learning the state language through immersion in the Kazakh family and cultural environment.

Tourist excursions to the Naurzum State Nature Reserve and Amangeldy district with a visit to the multifunctional tourist complex have been organized for thousands of schoolchildren during the summer. Such trips are aimed at broadening the horizons of schoolchildren, getting to know the natural and historical and cultural heritage of the region.

Special attention is paid to the organization of meaningful leisure activities for children at their place of residence. In the Zhitikarinsky district, a mobile creative laboratory "The Courtyard in which we Live" is being implemented, within the framework of which educational, cognitive and creative events are held for children and adolescents in courtyards and outdoor areas.

One of the important areas of the summer campaign remains the employment of schoolchildren. During the summer, about 600 gardening teams have been organized, covering over 14,000 students. The implementation of environmental initiatives continues: a regional three–day "Eco-camp" has been held, a competition "The best school yard" and an action "My house is my yard" are also planned.

Special attention is paid to the prevention and safety of children. All children enrolled in various types of registration are 100% covered by summer holidays and various forms of employment.

In all schools of the region, there are "Summer psychological support sites" where children can receive the necessary help and support from specialists. An additional support tool is the Dosym regional Telegram bot, which provides round-the-clock and anonymous psychological assistance to children. The service has been launched since May 1 of this year.

Also, from July 15 to 24, within the framework of the republican charity project "Zhazdyk Zholdama", organized by the public foundation "Kazakhstan Khalkyna", 19 gifted children from rural regions and single-industry towns of Kostanay region, who have achieved high results in studies, sports and creativity, will visit the Republican educational and Wellness Center "Baldauren" in Shchuchinsk.
