Today, regional akim Murat Ergeshbayev and Hero of Labor Imamzada Shagyrtayev met with representatives of Chinese companies Wang Defeng, Liu Xiuwei, Wang Qingcai, and Bai Yanlong. The meeting focused on the development of the region's agro-industrial complex, diversification of agricultural production, and the implementation of investment projects.
The regional governor noted that special attention is being paid to the implementation of water-saving technologies and increasing the area sown to low-water crops.
"This year, 10,000 hectares of grain have been sown in the region. We are interested in developing deep corn processing and seed production, mineral fertilizer production, and joint projects to increase the export potential of alfalfa.
We are always ready for open and trusting interaction with investors",- said Murat Nalkhozhaevich.
The region's investment opportunities were presented at the meeting. The region's location along international transport corridors, abundant irrigated land, and favorable natural and climatic conditions were noted as key advantages.
Currently, the region has 286,000 hectares of irrigated land. Of this, 178,600 hectares are under rice crop rotations, integrated into the irrigation system.
Due to water shortages in the coming years, rice plantings will be optimized, and the number of crops requiring less water will be increased. A range of measures has been adopted and state support mechanisms launched throughout the country to diversify the agricultural sector and implement water-saving technologies.
It is worth noting that over 34 billion tenge has been allocated for subsidizing projects aimed at implementing water-saving technologies over the next three years.
