A new-format Smart Point Digital Public Service Center (PSC) has officially opened in Turkistan, aimed at improving the digital literacy of residents and enabling them to access government services independently. The modern center is designed to make interaction with public services more convenient, faster, and more accessible.
The opening ceremony was attended by Arman Kenzhegaliyev, Chairman of the Board of the State Corporation Government for Citizens, and Nurbol Turashbekov, Deputy Akim of Turkistan Region.
The Smart Point Digital PSC is a modern space where citizens can independently obtain government services while developing their digital skills. The Smart Point concept is intended to foster a new culture of accessing public services, allowing citizens not only to receive services but also to use digital government platforms on their own, with expert assistance available whenever needed.
“The opening of the Smart Point center in Turkistan is not merely the launch of a new-format Public Service Center. It is an important step toward establishing a culture of independent access to government services. Today, our goal is not only to provide high-quality public services but also to help citizens confidently use digital government tools. We believe Smart Point will become a востребованный (highly demanded) platform for the region’s residents,” said Arman Kenzhegaliyev, Chairman of the Board of the State Corporation.
Nurbol Turashbekov, Deputy Akim of Turkistan Region, emphasized:
“President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has consistently instructed government agencies to simplify and digitalize public services while closely monitoring the implementation of these initiatives. Our region has been making significant progress in this direction. The opening of this modern center is clear evidence of that. Thanks to the effective cooperation between the regional administration and the State Corporation, we have established a modern service hub that fully meets the needs of our citizens.”
The Smart Point Digital PSC consists of several functional zones:
Express Zone: Citizens can independently apply for an ID card or passport using a document processing terminal and explore the capabilities of the AlemGPT service through interactive information screens.
Digital Zone: Equipped with all-in-one computers and high-speed scanners, this area enables visitors to obtain government services independently and work with documents online.
Expert Consultation Zone: Visitors can receive professional advice on more complex issues.
Training and Information Zones: Designed to improve digital literacy and familiarize citizens with new electronic government services.
Comfort Area: A dedicated waiting and relaxation space offering a comfortable environment for visitors.
The project was implemented with the support of the Akimat of Turkistan Region and marks another important step toward developing modern service infrastructure and creating a convenient digital environment for local residents.
It is worth noting that Ulytau Region was the first in Kazakhstan to introduce the Smart Point Digital PSC format. Its center officially opened on June 4, 2026.
