The Department of Internal State Audit for the city of Astana continues to conduct career guidance events for students of higher education institutions. The latest online meeting was held with the faculty and students of Maqsut Narikbayev University within the framework of the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the university.

During the event, the Head of the Department, Orazbay M.A., introduced participants to the main areas of activity of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as its subordinate bodies and organizations. Special attention was paid to ongoing reforms in the field of public finance aimed at transitioning from a traditional control model to a modern digital governance ecosystem.

In addition, students were informed about the personnel policy of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aimed at attracting and developing young professionals. Participants were introduced to the conditions of industrial internship, employment opportunities, the mentoring system, as well as prospects for professional and career growth within the bodies of the Ministry of Finance.

At the end of the meeting, the Head of the Department answered students’ questions regarding the procedure for entering the civil service, the specifics of competitive selection of candidates, testing and interview procedures, and also explained the process of passing the National Commission for Certification of State Auditors. In addition, practical recommendations were provided on preparation for competitive procedures.

Such career guidance events contribute to strengthening cooperation between government bodies and higher education institutions, as well as helping students become more familiar with opportunities for professional development in the civil service.
