On 29 June 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Holy See took part in the solemn Holy Mass held at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican on the occasion of the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, patrons of the City of Rome and the Diocese of Rome.

The Holy Mass was presided over by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. The ceremony included the traditional bestowal of the pallium on newly appointed metropolitan archbishops.

In his homily, Pope Leo XIV placed particular emphasis on unity, mutual respect, solidarity, dialogue and responsibility for the common good, underlining the importance of strengthening peace and harmony in the contemporary world.
