Kostanay region retains a leading position in Kazakhstan in the export of products of deep processing of the agro-industrial complex. By the end of 2025, the volume of exports of processed agricultural products in the region amounted to 2.7 million tons, or 27.2% of the national figure, which reached 8.5 million tons.

The development of the processing industry remains one of the key directions of the region's economic policy. The implementation of investment projects contributes to an increase in production, the creation of new jobs, the growth of export potential and the production of high-value-added products.

One of these projects is the activity of KAIZEN LLP, located in Kostanay. The company specializes in the processing of leguminous crops and is focused on export markets. The production complex was put into operation in 2023 due to investments by the international Turkish holding Arbel. The total amount of investments amounted to 4 billion tenge, 70 permanent jobs were created.

The company processes four types of agricultural crops: peas, chickpeas, green and red lentils. Thanks to modern technological equipment, the production is one of the most advanced in the northern region of the country in the field of processing leguminous crops.

High-performance equipment ensures automation of production processes, stable product quality and compliance with international safety and quality standards. The company's production activities are aimed at producing competitive export products with high added value.

The development of such investment projects contributes to the further strengthening of the processing industry of Kostanay region, increasing the investment attractiveness of the region and the implementation of tasks to increase the share of processed products in the agro-industrial complex.
