At the 34th meeting of the regional maslikhat, Murat Ergeshbayev, Akim of the region, noted that the new Constitution, which has entered into force, defines the primary goals as protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, ensuring the rule of law, and building a just society.
"The new preamble enshrines the main principle-preserving the millennia-old historical continuity of the Great Steppe while strengthening statehood on the ancestral Kazakh lands. The balance of power has been strengthened, and the system of governance has been modernized in accordance with the demands of the times.
This is an important document that will serve as the foundation for strengthening the foundations of our state, maintaining social harmony and stability. All of these are systemic steps aimed at developing Kazakhstan as a democratic, legal, and social state.
Following the entry into force of our new Constitution, the President signed a decree on holding elections to the Kurultai on August 23. I urge all of you to actively participate in this important endeavor to advance national interests during this political period, which will be inscribed in golden letters in the history of our people",- said Murat Nalkhozhaevich. At the meeting, a number of citizens were presented with congratulatory letters from Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich on the occasion of the entry into force of the new Constitution, as well as a special edition of the Constitution.
