Today, regional akim Murat Ergeshbayev met with representatives of the Turkish company TIMFOG Engineering, Yaylali Cengiz, Eyup Sevenjan, and Koksal Salih, to discuss the construction of modern greenhouse complexes, diversification of the agricultural industry, and the implementation of investment projects. In accordance with the Head of State's directive to reduce import dependence in the national food market, the region prioritizes the development of the agricultural sector.
"Kyzylorda Region is an agro-industrial region with high potential for partnership and investment. Although rice cultivation is the primary agricultural sector, the region's natural and climatic conditions are also favorable for potatoes, vegetables, melons, and fruit and berry crops.
Developing fruit and vegetable production at an industrial level is one of our promising areas. Together with experienced companies like TIMFOG Engineering, we are ready to implement new investment projects. "This will allow us to diversify agriculture, produce high-value-added products, and increase export potential",- said Murat Ergeshbayev.
Currently, the region has 21 greenhouses with a total area of 12.1 hectares, including a fully automated 2-hectare greenhouse complex owned by the KazAgroMir partnership. However, the produce produced there only meets 1.5% of the population's vegetable needs.
Investment projects to develop greenhouse farming are being implemented in the region. Specifically, plans include the construction of large greenhouse complexes by Fabe-Agro and the Meliorator partnership.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their intention to continue developing investment cooperation and collaborating on joint projects.
