In Almaty, at 312 Raimbek Avenue, the construction of a unique, specialized inclusive sports center is underway. The project is aimed at supporting para-athletes, improving sports infrastructure, and developing an inclusive society.
The project is currently 60% complete. According to the schedule, all construction work is planned to be finished by early autumn. The complex, with a total area of more than 4,000 square meters, features modern swimming pools, multi-purpose sports halls, and infrastructure designed for 21 different sports.
The center is specifically equipped to facilitate disciplines such as boccia, sitting volleyball, wheelchair dance, swimming, and various other adaptive sports.
A key feature of the center is its "barrier-free" design principle. Entrance groups, elevators, locker rooms, and all internal infrastructure have been carefully planned to meet the needs of people with disabilities, ensuring full accessibility throughout the facility.
