A scientific conference titled «The People's Constitution: The Beginning of a Confident Future» was held in Kostanay.

The scientific conference was attended by Akim of Kostanay Region Kumar Aksakalov, members of the Constitutional Commission Unzila Shapak, Madi Myrzagarayev, Sailaubek Yeshchanov, Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the VII–VIII convocations Yekaterina Smyshlyayeva, as well as representatives of state bodies, the expert and scientific community, civil society institutions, ethno-cultural associations, and mass media.

«Today's meeting is taking place during an important period of socio-political modernization of our country. As is known, on July 1, 2026, Kazakhstan entered a new stage of its constitutional development. The adoption of the new Constitution has become a truly historic event in the history of the state. This is not just a significant date, but the beginning of a new chapter based on the rule of law and order, respect for human rights and freedoms, national values, and responsibility to future generations. As part of the implementation of the new Constitution, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed five independent constitutional laws, amendments were made to eight constitutional laws and more than 60 other legislative acts,— noted the head of the region.

The Head of State announced the holding of elections of deputies to the Constituent Assembly of the Republic of Kazakhstan on August 23 of this year. This is one of the most important political campaigns in the socio-political life of the country. In this regard, comprehensive preparatory work aimed at organizing and conducting the elections in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation has already begun in Kostanay Region.

The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan is not only the Basic Law of the country, but also a solid foundation for practical transformations in all spheres of public life. The effective implementation of its principles directly affects the development of each region. It is strong and developed regions that ensure economic growth, stability, and the well-being of citizens.

«Large-scale and important transformations lie ahead of us. Their successful implementation will require time, systematic and coordinated work, as well as high responsibility of every citizen. After all, the path to a strong, just, and prosperous state begins with respect for the Constitution, strict observance of the law, and an active civic position of every person,» emphasized the Akim of the region.
