Today, Akim of the region Murat Ergeshbayev met with the Consul General of Hungary in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Szoke Szabolcs. The meeting discussed issues of further development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation.
The Akim of the region noted that Kazakhstan and Hungary are united by historical and cultural ties and partnership relations based on mutual trust, and that regular meetings of the heads of state have given impetus to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
–I thank you for the interest shown in our region. We are connected not only by official documents but also by common historical and cultural roots and traditions.
Important steps are also being taken in the direction of investment cooperation. The company «UBM Group» is actively working in a number of regions of the country. The company is moving to the second stage of the project and plans to build two more feed mills. Since the issue of locating these two plants is currently being discussed, we propose building one of them in the Kyzylorda region. Because agriculture is the basis of the regional economy, – said the head of the region.
It should be noted that more than 90 percent of rice and table salt production in the republic falls to the share of the Kyzylorda region. In recent years, livestock and poultry farming, as well as milk production, have been intensively developing, and the demand for compound feed has been steadily growing.
Today, a large-scale project is being implemented with the participation of the company «Harvest Agro». This will allow producing 150 thousand tons of corn and 40 thousand tons of soybeans per year and will contribute to reducing the cost of compound feed production.
More than 1.3 million head of livestock are registered in the region. And considering the potential of the neighboring Turkestan, Aktobe, and Ulytau regions, it exceeds 12 million.
The geographically advantageous location of the region, developed transport and logistics infrastructure, the presence of a special economic zone and six industrial zones with established engineering infrastructure allow for the effective implementation of investment projects.
