Akim of the region Murat Ergeshbayev received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Liaoning Hongda Group" Tang Jiugang and representatives of this company.
At the meeting, the regional akim highly appreciated the company's contribution to the development of investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and China and noted the strategic importance for the region of the project for the construction of lead-zinc mining and processing complexes with a total cost of 1.3 billion US dollars, being implemented in the Zhanakorgan district.
The project envisages the construction of two open pits, two mining and processing plants, and the subsequent construction of a metallurgical plant. The head of the region reported that the project has been included in the "Green Corridor" mechanism by the regional akimat, and during its implementation, the necessary administrative support and comprehensive assistance will be provided.
In turn, the company's management provided information on the current stage of project implementation, ongoing work on infrastructure connections, and preparations for the construction of the metallurgical plant.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further continue mutual cooperation towards the timely and effective implementation of investment projects.
It is worth noting that to date, the company has commenced the first stage of the project for the development of the deposit in the Zhanakorgan district, providing employment for 260 local residents. This is an important project for enhancing the socio-economic and production potential of the region. Initiatives for the development of the mining industry are being implemented successfully and systematically.
