The opening of a railway station took place in the village of Saksaulsk, Aral District. The event was attended by Deputy Akim of Kyzylorda Region Bakyt Zhakhanov, Director of the Kyzylorda Branch of the Mainline Network of JSC "National Company "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" Batyrkhan Bazarbayev, industry veterans, elders, and residents of the village.
The Deputy Akim of the region noted that the instruction of the Head of State on the modernization of railway stations in the region is being implemented in stages.
— Last year, the Kyzylorda railway station underwent major repairs, and the adjacent territory was landscaped. More than 10 billion tenge has been allocated for the major repair and reconstruction of the remaining seven stations and two service points. Railway stations in Zhanakorgan, Shieli, and Kazaly were recently put into operation. In addition, the passenger platform at Talap station has been reconstructed. Today we witnessed the opening of a new railway station in the village of Saksaulsk, built with over 1 billion 360 million tenge of investment. The construction area is 9,129 square meters. This is one of the important projects for the region. I congratulate everyone on the commissioning of the new station",- said Bakyt Zhakhanov.
Batyrkhan Bazarbayev also delivered a congratulatory speech, and railway industry veteran Orynbai Orazaev gave his bata-blessing. Employees who contributed to the development of the railway industry, as well as representatives of the contractor organization that performed the high-quality construction of the station, were awarded letters of gratitude from the Akim of the region.
The construction of the Saksaulsk railway station began in 2025 on the initiative of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nurlybek Nalibayev. Today, the facility is fully completed and put into operation.
The new station is designed to serve 281 passengers per day. It is equipped with modern equipment and meets current requirements. It includes a mother and child room, a medical center, a luggage storage room, a waiting room, and sanitary facilities.
Currently, 15 international and interregional passenger trains pass through the Kyzylorda region. Among them, 6 passenger trains run from the regional center to Astana, Petropavlovsk, Pavlodar, Kokshetau, Semey, and Turkestan.
