Reconstruction work on the railway station at Zheleznorudnaya station has been completed in the Kostanay region. The renovated facility has been designed to meet modern requirements for safety, accessibility, and passenger comfort.
The station building, originally constructed in 1959, has been completely demolished. A new single-story passenger complex with an area of 416.1 square meters has been built in its place. The reconstruction included upgrading utility systems, landscaping the surrounding area, organizing modern evacuation routes, and equipping the premises with the necessary furniture and equipment.
Following the renovation, the station now meets current passenger service standards and provides more comfortable conditions for waiting and boarding trains.
The railway station at Zheleznorudnaya is classified as Class III and serves an average of 452 passengers per day. Twelve passenger trains pass through the station, providing transport connections between the region and major cities of Kazakhstan — Almaty, Shu, Kostanay, Atyrau, Aktobe, Uralsk, Astana, Kokshetau, as well as the resort area of Borovoye.
The reconstruction of the station complex is aimed at developing the region's transport infrastructure and improving the quality of passenger services.
