As part of the implementation of the Head of State's instructions to accelerate the country's gasification rate and bring it to 80%, construction of the Shu automated gas distribution station will be completed in the Zhambyl region using reclaimed assets. The government has allocated 2.9 billion tenge from the Special State Fund for this purpose, Primeminister.kz reports.
The station's launch will resolve gas shortages during the heating season. Currently, the region receives gas through the Kordai automated gas distribution station, located more than 100 km from the city of Shu, whose capacity is not designed to handle increasing consumption.
The commissioning of the facility will remove infrastructure constraints and ensure uninterrupted gas supply to residential areas, the central boiler house, and businesses. Overall, the project guarantees a stable gas supply for 84,000 residents of the Shu and Moiynkum districts and will also allow the resumption of issuing technical specifications for new subscribers.
Currently, 29 units and equipment sets have already been installed at the construction site, and work is underway to connect inter-unit communications.
