On August 3, 2026, a meeting of the delegation led by the Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Morocco Abdelattif Wahbi with the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Zhaksylykuly Sarsembayev was held within the framework of an official visit to Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, E. Sarsembayev introduced the Moroccan delegation to the main novelties of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the main areas of activity of the Ministry of Justice, legal reforms being implemented in the country, modern approaches to the development of the justice system, and achievements in the field of digitalization of public services. The Kazakh minister also noted the systematic development of cooperation between the two countries, based on mutual respect, trust and the desire to strengthen international legal cooperation.

Following the negotiations, the two ministers signed the Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil Matters between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding between the ministries of the two countries.
