On 12 October 2025, the Caspian Marathon 2025 was successfully held in Aktau. The start and finish lines were located near the amphitheater on the Caspian Sea waterfront in the city's 15th district.

Participants competed in a variety of race categories, including the full marathon (42.2 km), half marathon (21.1 km), 10 km run, 10 km Nordic walking, and 5 km run or Nordic walking.

The marathon attracted runners from across Kazakhstan and abroad. With excellent weather, professional organization, and a vibrant atmosphere, Caspian Marathon 2025 became one of Aktau's major international sporting events.
