Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abylkair Skakov presented his credentials to President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov.

At the meeting held following the credential presentation ceremony, President Zhaparov conveyed his warm wishes to President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, congratulated Abylkair Skakov on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission.

Ambassador Skakov noted the high level of Kazakh-Kyrgyz relations, based on traditional ties of friendship, good-neighborliness and alliance, and emphasized the important role of close and trust-based interaction between the heads of the two states. It was noted that regular contacts between the heads of state and agreements reached at the highest level provide additional impetus to the development of the strategic partnership.

The sides discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, noting the steady development of political dialogue, and exchanged views on promising areas for expanding trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Following the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their interest in further strengthening Kazakh-Kyrgyz bilateral relations and consistently implementing the agreements reached.
