The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues laboratory testing of motor gasoline quality in response to incoming citizen complaints.

The Territorial Department of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the MTI RK for Pavlodar Region has submitted arbitration samples of gasoline, taken directly at the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, to an independent laboratory from the manufacturer. Fuel samples with Sinoil, QazaqOil, and Helios additives are being tested separately. The test results are expected within a week.

As of today, 12 citizen complaints are being processed: 9 — from Astana, 1 — from Pavlodar, and 2 — from the North Kazakhstan Region.

In addition, control purchases were conducted at 17 gas stations: 5 — in Almaty, 5 — in the Almaty Region, 6 — in the Abai Region, and 1 — in the Zhambyl Region. Laboratory testing of the collected samples is currently underway.

Thus, the ongoing inspection allows for assessing fuel quality not only at the production stage but also directly at subsequent stages of its circulation until sale to the consumer.

As part of the inspection, sampling will be carried out along the entire chain, including at oil depots. The necessary regulatory and technical documents, state standards, and testing laboratories are available for this purpose.

If facts of motor gasoline non-compliance with the technical regulation requirements are established, measures stipulated by law will be taken, including a ban on sale and withdrawal of non-compliant fuels and lubricants.

The Ministry of Trade and Integration will continue to inform the public about the results of the ongoing tests.
