In 2025, Kazakhstan's trade turnover with the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) amounted to 72.6 billion US dollars. In 2024, this figure was 67.7 billion dollars.

Kazakhstan's exports to the SCO countries amounted to 30.7 billion dollars, while imports totaled 41.8 billion dollars.

Kazakhstan's main trading partners among the SCO countries are China, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. In 2025, trade turnover with China amounted to 34.2 billion dollars, with Russia — 27.4 billion dollars, with Uzbekistan — 4.8 billion dollars, and with Kyrgyzstan — 2.2 billion dollars.

The main goods exported from Kazakhstan to the SCO countries include uranium, copper ores and concentrates, crude oil, copper and copper cathodes, natural gas, wheat, and ferroalloys.

In 2025, exports of a number of agricultural goods and processed products increased. In particular, exports of animal feed increased 2.5 times, reaching 614.9 million dollars. Exports of sunflower oil grew by 62.4%, amounting to 633.7 million dollars. Wheat exports increased by 17.1%, reaching 1.13 billion dollars. Barley exports grew by 22%, wheat flour — by 11.8%, and flax seeds — by 72.9%.

The main goods imported by Kazakhstan from the SCO countries include passenger cars, car bodies, natural gas, petroleum products, gold, computers, as well as spare parts for cars and tractors.

In Kazakhstan's exports, the main positions are still occupied by uranium, copper ores and concentrates, oil, copper, natural gas, and wheat. At the same time, the growth in exports of sunflower oil, animal feed, flour, barley, and other agricultural products indicates demand for Kazakhstani goods in foreign markets.
