During a working trip to Lisakovsk, Akim of Kostanay Region Kumar Aksakalov reviewed the progress of investment projects being implemented in the city and also met with participants of the national environmental program «Taza Kazakhstan».

The Head of State has set tasks to give a new impetus to the development of the manufacturing industry.

In this direction, an investment project for the construction of a polymer film production plant is being implemented in the Oktyabrsky settlement of the city of Lisakovsk. 20 new jobs will be created. Thanks to the attraction of investments, previously vacant communal facilities are receiving new development.

Also, the modernization of the metallurgical plant is underway in the city. The enterprise plans to produce titanium slag, rutile and zircon concentrates.

In accordance with the instruction of the President of the country to increase the share of processed products in the agro-industrial complex to 70% within three years, the construction of an oil extraction plant with a processing capacity of 350 thousand tons of raw materials per year is underway in Lisakovsk. The investment volume amounts to 39.1 billion tenge. 200 jobs will be created.

In addition, the Akim of the region visited a mineral powder production enterprise, which has already been put into operation. Previously, road construction organizations of the region were forced to import mineral powder — an important component of asphalt concrete mixture — from other regions of the country.

As part of the implementation of the «Taza Kazakhstan» program, 1,700 trees have been planted in Lisakovsk this year, and more than 300 tons of garbage have been removed. During the environmental campaign with the participation of volunteers, 76 thousand square meters of the coastal area were cleaned.

Works on landscaping, infrastructure development, improvement of the architectural appearance, lighting, repair and laying of roads are being carried out at an appropriate level. Currently, works on the improvement of the coastal area are ongoing.

The head of the region met with city residents, presented the indicators of the socio-economic development of the region, and answered questions from the population.
