At the "Maikapchagay" customs post of the State Revenue Department (SRD) for the East Kazakhstan Region, within its competence, functions are performed to conduct transport control at road checkpoints across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union.

In accordance with paragraph 9 of Article 402 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Customs Regulation in the RK," transport control is carried out for the purpose of verifying compliance by individuals and legal entities with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of road transport.

Transport control by customs post officials is carried out strictly according to the Rules for the Implementation of Transport Control by Officials of the State Revenue Authorities at Road Checkpoints across the Customs Border of the Eurasian Economic Union, approved by the Joint Order of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 19, 2018, No. 230 and the Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 27, 2018, No. 141.

These rules approve the actions of officials when carrying out transport control and verifying the actual weight and dimensional parameters of vehicles.

Thus, over the first 8 months of 2026, officials of the "Maikapchagay" customs post of the SRD for the East Kazakhstan Region carried out transport control in relation to 14,256 vehicles. Compared to the same period last year, there is an increase in vehicles of 27%.
