The Republic of Kazakhstan Judo Championship was held in Uralsk, bringing together the country’s strongest athletes.

Following the competition, servicemen of the National Guard, supported by the ARLAN sports team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, demonstrated a high level of athletic performance, winning two gold and one silver medal.

The championship titles were claimed by Privates Madi Amangeldy and Sanzhar Jabborov, servicemen of Military Unit 6636. Madi Amangeldy took first place in the up to 81 kg weight category, while Sanzhar Jabborov became champion in the over 100 kg category.

The silver medal in the up to 73 kg weight category was won by Private Darkhan Koibagar, a serviceman of Military Unit 5571.

The Guardsmen’s strong results once again demonstrate the effectiveness of sports training among law and order troops personnel, who successfully combine military service with achievements in professional sport.
