In Atyrau, a serviceman of Military Unit 5546 of the “Batys” Regional Command of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan discovered an unmanned aerial vehicle carrying a package.

At around 8:30 a.m., Lieutenant Miras Iskaziyev, while approximately one kilometre from Penal System Institution No. 15, noticed a drone on the ground. A package was found next to it.

Upon inspection, it was established that the package contained 11 bags of a green, plant-based substance with a distinctive odour.

The serviceman immediately reported the discovery through the duty service. The necessary security measures were taken at the scene, after which further action was handed over to the competent authorities.

Thanks to the Guardsman’s vigilance, the suspicious item was detected in a timely manner, allowing the necessary measures to be taken promptly and ensuring that the matter was handled in accordance with established procedures.
