Astana, September 17, 2026 – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Issagaliyev held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Federal Republic of Nigeria concurrently accredited to the Republic of Kazakhstan Joseph Olusola Iji.

During the meeting, Ambassador of Nigeria presented copies of his credentials and reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between two countries, as well as deepening engagement within the framework of international organizations.

Deputy Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed confidence that his mission would contribute to the further development of the traditionally friendly and trust-based relations between Astana and Abuja.

The parties discussed ways to enhance political dialogue, strengthen trade, economic cooperation, and expand collaboration in the fields of agriculture and industrial sector.
