Kazakhstan and Italy Strengthen Trade and Economic Cooperation
18.09.2026 11:01:44 227Astana, 17 September 2026 – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Issetov held talks with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic Maria Tripodi, who arrived in Astana to participate in the first meeting of the “B5+Italy” dialogue platform.
During the meeting, the sides noted the positive momentum in political dialogue and discussed prospects for further developing the Kazakhstan-Italy strategic partnership. Particular attention was paid to expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation.
Deputy Minister Issetov emphasized Kazakhstan’s interest in implementing joint projects with Italian companies in such areas as industry. energy, transport and agriculture.
Deputy Minister Tripodi congratulated on the successful conduct of the Kurultai elections, noting the important role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening
Kazakhstan-Italy relations. She also confirmed Italy’s commitment to expanding practical cooperation with Kazakhstan and advancing new projects.
In this context, the sides highlighted the important role of the “B5+Italy” dialogue platform, established at the initiative of President of Kazakhstan К.К.Tokayev, in fostering business ties between Central Asia and Italy.
Following the talks, the diplomats reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and implementing joint projects.
