On September 22, 2026, in accordance with the schedule approved following an internal corruption risk assessment, the Department of State Revenues in Astana held a seminar for the Department’s employees on the topic “Justification and Completeness of Document Requests During a Tax Audit.”

The main objective of the event was to prevent corruption-related offenses among the Department’s employees by clarifying the limits of lawful authority when requesting documents during tax audits, establishing a consistent understanding of the provisions of the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding the justification and completeness of such requests, and preventing abuse of authority and excessive administrative burdens on taxpayers as part of the systematic efforts to reduce corruption risks in the activities of the Department.
