The Akim of East Kazakhstan Region met with representatives of BI Group to discuss investment projects in tourism and prospects for the development of tourism infrastructure in Katon-Karagay District.

One of the key projects presented by the company is the development of a modern museum and exhibition complex in the Berel area using digital and multimedia technologies. At the initial stage, an investment of approximately KZT 800 million is being considered. The launch of the first facility is planned for 2027.

The meeting also covered the development of new equestrian, road and hiking tourist routes, including routes to Yazevoe Lake and Muztau Mountain. The projects are expected to include the construction of viewing platforms, recreation areas and other tourism infrastructure facilities.

Particular attention was paid to the proposal to hold an ethnofestival in the district aimed at promoting the culture, traditions and historical and cultural heritage of East Kazakhstan.

Improving transport accessibility will be an important factor in the further development of tourism in the district, including the implementation of the airport construction project in Katon-Karagay District.

Following the instruction of the Akim of the region, the Department of Tourism and Investments, together with relevant stakeholders, will continue to work out the projects proposed by BI Group in detail, identify specific areas of cooperation and develop proposals for their further implementation.

The development of tourism infrastructure in Katon-Karagay District remains one of the priority areas aimed at creating comfortable conditions for tourists, increasing the investment attractiveness of the territory and growing tourist flows.
