Symbat Toretaev has been appointed as the akim of the city of Zhanaozen.

By agreement with the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, by order of the Akim of the Mangystau Region, Nurdaulet Kilybay, Sumbat Toretaev was appointed Akim of the city of Zhanaozen.

 

Symbat Kuanshuly Toretaev was born on January 27, 1978, in the village of Zhetybai, Yeralievsky District, Mangystau Region.

 

He began his professional career in 2000 at the Department of Internal Affairs of the Mangystau Region, holding the position of investigator in the Department for Combating Organized Crime. Later, he worked as a senior investigator and a senior investigator for particularly important cases.

 

In 2006–2010, he served as the director of “Nur” LLP.

 

In 2010–2014, he was the akim of the village of Munayshi in the Karakiyansky District.

 

In 2015–2017, he headed the department for work with law enforcement agencies, countering terrorism, mobilization preparation, and civil defense at the office of the akim of the Mangystau Region.

 

In 2017–2019, he headed the counter‑terrorism department at the office of the akim of the Mangystau Region.

 

In 2019–2023, he held the position of deputy akim of the Karakiyansky District.

 

From May 2023 to the present, he has held the position of akim of the Karakiyansky District.
