In Shemonaikha, East Kazakhstan Region, a serviceman of Military Unit 5511 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with penal enforcement officers, prevented an attempt to throw prohibited items onto the premises of a penal institution.

While patrolling the area adjacent to the penal institution, Corporal Yelaman Sapashev and his service dog, Remma, together with penal enforcement officers, noticed a suspicious man near the perimeter fence.

The man attempted to throw unidentified items over the fence, but his actions were promptly stopped.

An inspection established that the man, who had previously been held criminally liable, was attempting to pass two mobile phones, a container with white capsules, and a container holding an unidentified liquid onto the premises of the institution.

The discovered items were seized and handed over to the competent authorities for further examination and a procedural decision.

Joint patrols by National Guard servicemen and penal enforcement officers help identify and prevent attempts to illegally transfer prohibited items into protected facilities in a timely manner. Canine teams play an important role in this work, helping strengthen security measures and ensure the safety of penal institutions.
