Digitalization of Public Finances and Efficiency of Budget Expenditures: A Meeting with the Population Took Place in Shymkent

The Vice Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dauren Temirbekov, held a meeting with the residents of Shymkent, during which he spoke about the key areas of work of the Ministry of Finance, the digital transformation of public finances, and answered citizens' questions.
Approximately 500 people took part in the meeting, including via online broadcast. The participants included city residents, representatives of the business community and public, as well as representatives of the mass media.

During the meeting, the main results and future plans for the digitalization of state support measures, funding for education and healthcare systems, improving state property management, as well as the implementation of "Treasury 2.0" tools and digital tenge were presented.
Particular attention was paid to the digitalization of education financing through the unified "Bilimge" portal, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the use of budget funds, as well as the development of the unified "Qalqan" system for financing medical services.
During the visit, the Vice Minister also held a personal reception for citizens. Regarding the inquiries addressed during the reception, appropriate explanations were provided. Questions that require further study have been accepted for review and will be considered in the established manner.
Additionally, a briefing was held for representatives of the media, during which D. Temirbekov answered journalists' questions.
The meeting took place in an open dialogue format, allowing for the discussion of current issues related to the activities of the Ministry of Finance, as well as identifying areas that require further development.
