Ulaanbaatar, 28 September 2026 – Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Mongolia Almas Seitakynov, held talks with Mongolia’s Deputy Prime Minister Nyamtai­shiryn Nomtoibayar, who also serves as Co-Chair of the Mongolian side of the Kazakhstan-Mongolia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technical, and Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation.

The discussions focused on key areas of bilateral cooperation and on progress in implementing agreements reached at the highest and senior levels.

Particular attention was given to expanding trade and economic ties, strengthening transport and logistics links, and advancing cooperation in industry, agriculture, investment, science, education and culture.

Both sides underlined the importance of the Intergovernmental Commission as a practical mechanism for advancing cooperation between Kazakhstan and Mongolia. They also stressed the need for closer coordination between the relevant government agencies and business communities of the two countries.

The meeting concluded with a discussion of preparations for the 10th anniversary session of the Intergovernmental Commission, which is scheduled to take place in Astana in October this year.
