A 36-year-old resident of Pavlodar, during a feast with her husband and girlfriend, caused a conflict on the grounds of jealousy. During the quarrel, the woman inflicted several blows on her husband, causing moderate damage to her health.

The court found her guilty and sentenced her to imprisonment for a period of 4 years and 6 months.

To serve her sentence, the convict was registered with the probation service of the city of Pavlodar. When registering, she was explained in detail the procedure and conditions for serving her sentence, as well as warned about responsibility for evading control and the possibility of commuting the punishment to a more severe one.

Despite the warnings, the woman systematically violated the established procedure for serving her sentence and evaded the supervision of the probation service. As a result, the court's decision replaced the restriction of freedom with imprisonment for an unserved term of 2 years and 7 months.

To continue serving her sentence, the convict arrived at the women's institution of the penal system of the Abai region. An educational and explanatory conversation was held with her, after which she was employed in the sewing workshop of the institution.

Upon receiving her salary, the convicted person directs part of the funds to repay the claims imposed by the court, and also provides financial assistance to her family.

- Restriction of freedom gives a person a chance to live close to his family and improve without prison. But this chance must be justified by following the rules and requirements of probation. In this case, the woman violated them more than once, so the court replaced her sentence with imprisonment," said Svetlana Golikova, head of the Special accounting Department.
