In the village of Shuak in the Abai region, the staff of the women's colony showed courage, determination and high civic duty by helping residents of an apartment building during a fire.

The fire occurred on the balcony of the first floor of an apartment building. According to preliminary data, the fire was caused by flammable objects on the balcony. About 80 people live in the apartment building. The residents include children of various ages, including newborns.

Senior operative of the operational department Darkhan Sovetkanov and head of the guard department of the control service Bolatbek Bukenov, on their way to work, noticed smoke and open flames. Without hesitation, they rushed to help the residents and immediately reported the incident to other employees of the institution living in the house. Together, the staff organized the evacuation of residents and took measures to prevent the further spread of the fire.

Before the arrival of the fire brigade, the staff independently took measures to extinguish the fire, prevent the spread of fire and ensure the safety of residents. First of all, they organized the evacuation of people, helped women and children leave the danger zone, and also took out gas cylinders and other potentially explosive items from the house. In addition, objects that could contribute to the further spread of the fire were removed from the building.

Thanks to the prompt and competent actions of the staff, it was possible to prevent the further spread of the fire and ensure the safety of residents until the arrival of fire service units.  

- I have two children, a four—year-old son and a three-year-old daughter. At the time of the incident, the husband was at work. When the smell of smoke reached the apartment, I immediately thought about the safety of my children. We live on the third floor, and it wasn't easy to pack quickly on our own. When they saw me with the children, the staff of the institution immediately came to the rescue, helped to pack the necessary things and safely take us out of the house. Thanks to their support and concern, we were able to quickly leave the danger zone. On behalf of our whole family, I would like to express my deep gratitude to them for their courage, responsiveness and timely help," said Indira Turbayeva, a resident of Dolma.

- The staff of the institution showed efficiency and coordination of actions in a difficult situation. They did not lose their head, responded to the incident in a timely manner and focused primarily on evacuating people. Thanks to their decisive actions, possible serious consequences were avoided. Such actions indicate high discipline, a sense of duty and a willingness to help citizens in any situation," said the head of the institution, Ualikhan Zhumashev.
