The progress of the harvest campaign was reviewed today at a government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. Regional Akim Murat Ergeshbayev participated in the meeting via a conference call.
Following the discussion of the issues raised, specific instructions were issued to the heads of the relevant sectors.
"Our goal is to harvest the crop without losses. The campaign must be completed no later than October 15. Working together with city and district administrations, priority must be given to the high-quality execution of all tasks within the established timeframes.
Ensure constant monitoring of entrepreneurship indicators and strict oversight of the implementation of state support programs. The Department of State Revenues must ensure that entrepreneurs who have received support fulfill their obligations to the state. A comprehensive analysis of tax revenues from businesspeople who utilized concessional financing, subsidies, and guarantees is required. Empty talk about 'work having been done' or 'awareness-raising events having been organized' is not needed. Focus on tangible results and report on the outcomes",- emphasized Murat Nalkhozhauly.
Reports were presented at the meeting by Zhanar Berdenova, Acting Head of the Regional Department of Entrepreneurship and Industry, and Talgat Duisebayev, Head of the Regional Department of Agriculture and Land Relations.
This year, crops were planted across an area of 193.7 thousand hectares in the region.
In accordance with the government-approved roadmap, the area of rice fields decreased by 10.9 thousand hectares compared to last year. As part of the Head of State's directive on crop diversification, corn was planted on 11 thousand hectares. A water allocation of 3.2 billion cubic meters was approved to supply the fields, and the growing season proceeded according to plan. Agricultural producers were fully supplied with seeds, fertilizers, herbicides, and fuel and lubricants. A total of 2.5 billion cubic meters of water was delivered from the SyrDarya River to the fields via canals.
The region has completed the harvesting of early grain crops. To date, 36,000 hectares of rice have been mowed, with 27,450 hectares threshed. The average yield was 48.4 centners per hectare, resulting in a harvest of 133,000 tons of paddy rice.
The meeting also reviewed preparations for the heating season. This year, 5.5 billion tenge was allocated for the modernization of heat supply facilities. Work has been fully completed on upgrading 8.7 km of heating networks, overhauling a gas turbine unit, and repairing heating mains, boilers, turbines, and autonomous boiler houses.
A total of 7.6 billion tenge was directed toward modernizing electrical networks, resulting in the repair of 460 kilometers of power transmission lines and 134 substations.
The region's 1,074 social facilities are 100 percent ready. Heat supply will commence based on actual weather conditions and the average daily outdoor temperature.
To get through the winter period, the population requires 68,000 tons of coal, while social facilities require 12,000 tons, making a total requirement of 80,000 tons. Work to replenish coal stocks is proceeding according to the approved schedule.
