Poets and writers who were born on the sacred land of the Syr region and who have devoted their creative works to the history of their native land have always been worthy of special honour. In this regard, today, a special reception dedicated to the 70th anniversary of poet, writer, public figure, and Honorary Citizen of Kyzylorda Region and Karmakshy District Shahizada Abdikarimov was held under the chairmanship of District Akim Zhandos Yerkinbek.

Karmakshy is a sacred land that has nurtured many talented individuals and inspired numerous works of poetry and literature. The name of Shahizada Abdikarimov, a native of this blessed land, has become inseparably linked with the literary and cultural heritage of the Syr region.

Shahizada Utetileuuly was born in 1956 in the village of Zhanazhol, Karmakshy District. He began his career at the district newspaper Kommunizm Shamshyragy, where he worked in journalism for many years. In later years, he actively worked in the mass media, as well as in the socio-political and cultural spheres, making a significant contribution to public life. His first collection of poems was included in the book Koktem Tynysy, while his poems were published in the book Karlygash in 1983. In addition, a number of his other valuable works have reached readers over the years.

Congratulating the jubilarian, the District Akim particularly highlighted his important role in the spiritual and cultural life of the district:

“Shahizada Utetileuuly is a person who has devoted his conscious life to journalism, literature and service to the people. As a writer, you have developed your own distinctive creative style. Today, your works have become part of the literary heritage of the Syr region,” he said.

During the meeting, the District Akim presented the jubilarian with a special congratulatory address and, in accordance with tradition, paid tribute to him.

At the ceremonial reception, Askar Merekov, Chairman of the District Council of Veterans; Abdirakhman Kuldüyssenov, Chairman of the District Public Council; Adil Koshalakov, Chairman of the District Maslikhat; as well as state and public figure Ganibek Kazantayev expressed their heartfelt wishes to the poet. Poet and journalist Altai Usenov shared memorable stories and recollections.

The jubilarian, in turn, expressed his gratitude to his fellow countrymen, noting that the respect of one’s native land and the appreciation of the people will always remain among the highest forms of recognition for a writer.

The 70-year journey of our fellow countryman, who has been awarded the Kurmet and Parasat Orders, can be regarded as a meaningful path dedicated to preserving and conveying through the art of the written word the spirit of the Syr region, the value of Karmakshy and the sacredness of his native land for future generations.
