Potential for Developing Cooperation in Tourism and Transport Logistics Between Kazakhstan and Ethiopia Discussed in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, October 1, 2026 – The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Ethiopia, together with the Ethiopian Tour Operators Association (ETOA), held a seminar dedicated to promoting the tourism potential of Kazakhstan and Ethiopia.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heads of international organizations (UNESCO, UNECA), the tourism sector, and the media.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ethiopia, Zh. Adilbayev, informed participants about the development of the tourism industry in Kazakhstan, popular tourist routes, and the country's iconic natural, historical, and cultural landmarks. Additionally, the Kazakh diplomat spoke about the great potential for developing transport and logistics connectivity between the regions of Central Asia and East Africa.
In turn, representatives of Ethiopian tourism companies also spoke about the tourist attractions of their country, including its cultural heritage and unique natural sites, and expressed their readiness to offer tour packages for Kazakh citizens wishing to visit the birthplace of coffee and the cradle of humanity.
Furthermore, they expressed great interest in developing cooperation with Kazakh partners in the field of tourism. They emphasized that Kazakhstan can become a new tourist destination for Ethiopian citizens, boasting modern infrastructure, attractive natural landscapes, and a rich culture.
As part of the event, a special photo exhibition and documentary film screening were organized, vividly demonstrating the picturesque landscapes, biodiversity, and unique natural heritage of Kazakhstan, allowing guests to visually appreciate the country's tourism appeal.
The event provided a practical opportunity for the exchange of views among participants and laid the foundation for strengthening long-term cooperation in tourism and transport connectivity.
